This year the decorating of Rotary Park was handled differently than in past years. The Rotary Club has traditionally handled the decorating of the pocket park at the intersection of Fairmount Avenue and Main Street. This year, the Rotary Club was unable to tend to that task. The Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce was willing to step in to help out the community. With the gracious financial sponsorship by The J. O'Brien Co., located in Springfield, and owned by Chatham resident Sharmay O’Brien, the Chamber was able to make the park sparkle with holiday spirit.
ECLC Students (pictured above) helped decorate the park on a snowy afternoonECLC of New Jersey, an accredited nonprofit school, provides special education for children ages 5 thru 21.  The students have learning and/or language disabilities, autism, or multiple disabilities

Santa Claus visited downtown Chatham twice in December. Once at the library and once at Rotary Park, next to Cafe Beethoven. Children and adults were able to enjoy Holiday Music provided by the Chatham Brass Ensemble, part of the Chatham Community Band and enjoy refreshments provided by Cafe Beethoven. It was a great way to get into the Holiday Spirit.

The Easter Bunny came and visited the youngsters of Chatham on March 22nd. There was a 2000 egg Egg Hunt and refreshments for all donated by Cafe Beethoven.  It was a very well attended event and hundreds of kids had a great time. Thanks to Cheryl Smitth of INTERIORS by Decorating Den, Valerie Olpp of Peapack-Gladstone Bank, Patricia McCaffrey of ISP Chatham, and Sally Merrell of Town and Country Properties for all your help that day. It couldn't have happened without you!
